Security Chain - Radial Chain for Passenger Cars, pair (use SC1030) (CH2311T) Review

I used these tire chains just once to get up a paved, hilly road with a sheet of ice on it.I was driving about 5-10 MPH and made it up the hill just fine. However, I was pretty surprised to see that one of the cross cables had snapped with just this one incredibly brief use.The broken chain is now useless.(I had to park at the bottom of the hill and walk up for the next few days until the ice melted). I would not trust these tire chains and would strongly discourage anyone from buying them. The tire chains do come with a one year warranty, but I bought them years ago and only needed them this one time. For an item such as tire chains, a one year warranty doesn't seem to make much sense.I wish that I could have rated these tire chains with zero stars.

Radial Chain is the "original" cable chain traction product for passenger cars

Originally designed to save sidewall wear on radial tires, Radial Chain (CH Series) was the first real brand name in "cable chain" winter traction products.

Radial Chains "consumer friendly" features caused rapid growth in popularity and today its still recognized as a market leader in:
Low operating space requirements (around drive tires).
Simple mounting and removal, due to its low weight.
Improved starting, stopping and cornering performance.
All-steel construction, for long service life, featuring SCCs traction coils instead of traditional steel rollers which flatten easily.
Smooth ride.

Radial Chains plastic package is durable, waterproof and recyclable. Radial Chain is an excellent, yet affordable choice in winter traction.

Security Chain Company QG2221CAM Quik Grip Light Truck Type CAM LSH Tire Traction Chain - Set of 2 Review

Great product at a great price. I used them extensively in northwest Texas over the X-mas holiday 2009. I drove my F-250 past twenty-two miles of traffic at a standstill on US 287 South between Electra and Jolle. Whst a difference the chains made. I spent X-mas eve night stuck behind semis in an ice blizzard. Awesome chains got me through. Most of those stranded spent another night on the road (or near it).

Security Chain Company QG0219 Quik Grip Garden Tractor and Snow Blower Tire Traction Chain - Set of 2 Review

The product would be great except for one thing; the picture shows the portions of the chain that go over the tread all evenly spaced and at regular intervals. But that's not the case where the links connect when installing the chains. It's like there's one missing there.I ended buying a bit more chain locally and adding it to the assembly. In my view, it should have been there from the start.

With that change, it worked just fine on my snow-thrower.

Security Chain Company QG1142 Quik Grip Type PL Class "S" Passenger Vehicle Tire Traction Chain - Set of 2 Review

Great chains at a great price. Can't get up my road in the winter without chains, and these are a snap to get on and off (I live on top of a mountain, so chains are all so important when attempting to avoid sliding into trees). I'm going to grab another pair or two. Great product.
