For the record, I only use my T1R's on the track so they're dedicated to Solo style competition on a street legal car.These are amazing if you own an older VW like I do, '91 Mark2 Jetta GLI and a '81 Mark1 Scirocco.They fit on your stock 14" rims and smaller rubber is getting harder and harder to find. I have tried high perf tires from other brands but these successfully compete against higher brands for a lower price. Of course there is sacrifice and these tires have two failings compared to more expensive rubber: 1. they are noisier than many other brands, but in my case this isn't an issue as I use cheap Hankooks for daily driving
2. the tread life is much much shorter than what a road tire should be. This is easier to accept due to the cost savings but is still a major shortcoming.
As a comparison my mid range Hankook Ventus' feel like a thin layer of sand is on the road after I've spent a day on the track hot lapping my T1R's
