Viair 20001 200 PSI Ultra Duty Onboard Air System This was a great purchase. It comes with everything you need to install. In my case it was installed in a 2010 Ford F-350 and I needed to go to Home Depot and pick up a couple of steel tubes to make if fit between the frame and passenger side of the bed. I had it up and running in about 2.5 hours. This model is a monster, it's all the system it says it is. Great buy!!!

Kleen Wheels 1197 Mercedes-Benz E320 Wheel Dust Shields - Sold as Pair Review

I have used these on a 1992 LS400 and on a 1992 Corvette and now ona 2006 MB E320. They are an extremely simple device (a thin aluminum dish with some slits cut in it) and they work. They really should cost about $20 a pair for what they are, but there is no competition, so Kleen Wheels can gouge and charge up to double that. Amazon has the best price. Some claim that they cut down on brake performance because they restrict cooling, but I haave never found that to be true. Maybe on a race track there might be an effect, but not in normal driving. They keep brake dust off your wheels and their finish lasts longer and they stay clean, as a result. Only negative is that if you have cool-looking brakes like Brembos, you can't see them.

These shields work great to block dust from semi-metallic brake pads.Be sure to follow the installation instructions and figure out what you are doing before placing the shields.I installed a set myself originally with no problems.Recently, I had a brake job done and the shop removed the shields and pretty much tore them up!They did offer to replace them, so I ordered another set.I allowed them to install the replacement shields and they only placed one of four correctly.I suppose they weren't paying attention.They even commented they were hard to install since they were so thick(huh?).(So much for ASE qualified "technicians")As it turns out, if you use ceramic pads the dust is white and is hardly noticeable.So it's a good product, but maybe not necessary for some circumstances.

Portable Tow Truck (black) Review

I purchased two sets (shipping price is the same) and it is a very nice product. They come two tracks per, so I put 1 unit in each of my 4 cars. I've used it twice (with neighbors who got stuck sliding down their driveway!) and it worked really well. We just slide the track under the wheel and slowly it pulled under the tire and grabbed and out the car went!If you live in snow country they are a must. I'm sure I'll get a chance to try them out this spring in the mud.

As a gear-head, I've owned and help build several custom cars in the past.I'm accustomed to taking great care of my car, which includes hand-washing and occasional clay bars.This kit is perfect for that, barring a caveat of which vehicle owners should be aware.

If you own a custom painted car, truck, or motorcycle, this kit has the potential to scratch your paint/top coat.The reason is because the dirt you trap in your cloth gets wiped across the surface of the paint, acting like an abrasive.Most factory baked paint jobs have anti-scratch coatings or properties to them, which makes this point moot.Most custom paints are softer and can scratch very easily.Most of you who own custom cars may already know this, but it is something to consider for the ones who don't.

Other than that, this kit is something I really use and I very much liked the eco-friendly mantra presented by the company.I think the coconut oil in it puts a superb shine on the paint.I would not recommend it for use on an extremely dirty car.It is better suited for moderate to mild use before heading out for the weekend or cruising around.

Motorcycle Swingarm Stand ? Red Review

This stand is worth every penny. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is there are better stands out there. BUT, they are a whole lot more exspensive. Unless you own a shop and work on bikes for a living this stand will do just fine. I have told all my riding buddies about them and a few of them have bought them and are just as happy as I am. Slime 2018-A Super Magnetic Dial Gauge (0-60 PSI) Review

3 stars because the product does exactly what is stated. I was disappointed that it feels so light, cheap and small in my hand. It does have the impression that a drop, stepping on it, etc., would make it history. The dial numbers are small, but readable. However, prior to buying this one, I had bought a much superior Slime, heavy metal gauge at an auto parts store that is more effective than this device, at about the same cost and the valve on that model being both bleeder/last pressure type.The valve on this Slime 2018-A gauge, as stated, is just that, a bleeder valve only. Not both a bleeder and 'maintain the pressure reading' if removed from valve stem.

The connection to the valve stem, in my case, is very snug. So snug that I can push it on and it stays by itself showing the tire pressure - guess that could be a good thing, but I have to put it on in a way that allows me to see the dial to read it. Time will bear out if the shock proof material lasts and the connection area wallows out.

I wouldn't recommend this as your only pressure gauge, but what I can recommend is this makes a great backup, secondary, tertiary, etc. gauge and for anyone with less than perfect eyesight to take a trip to their local auto zone and pickup the metal/larger dial & numbers model that you can take the pressure reading, pull it away from the tire to get to your optimal viewing position and then push the button to reset to zero.

Eagle One 613687 Keep Clean Wheel Review

I fully cleaned the wheel and sprayed evenly some of this cleaner (I have silver aluminum wheels).
I guess it is supposed to dry into this protective clear layer.
The problem is it hazes up on some spots soon as it dryes and if you spray too much you'll get runs which dry to these ugly white blotches.

The instructions state that you should let it dry for 10 minutes before moving and not touch it and thats what I did but I don't like the final results at all.

Security Chain Company Super Z6 SZ115, Cable Chain for Passenger Cars, Pickups & SUVs - Set of 2 Review

The virtues:
These are lightweight and compact cable chains, strong and effective enough to get you going. If you're already stuck in snow, you don't have to worry about having to lay out the chains and drive onto them. Just lay 'em flat and link the two segments together at the bottom back of the tire. Bring the two segments up and link them together at the top. Hook on the tensioner and drive away.
The drawbacks:
In real-world conditions (it's cold, it's snowing, it's probably dark) putting these on without preparation isn't fun. You kneel in snow and get your legs wet. Your hands get cold and wet and numb, and it becomes hard to mate the links on the back side of the tire. Just when you're close to done and your strength is giving out, you've got to stretch the rubber tensioner rings onto the chain.
So, practice putting them on under agreeable conditions so you know what you're in for. Stow a waterproof mat to kneel on. Put some packs of chemical hand warmers in the chains' carry bag.
And a hint: you'll be tempted to hook the link pins into the matching holes in a straight line. They won't go. Fit the pin into the slot at a 90-degree angle and turn it straight.
I've got a set of these for each vehicle. I've used 'em four times and never been stranded.

195/55R14 Toyo Tire Proxes T1R Tires (Quantity: 1) Review

For the record, I only use my T1R's on the track so they're dedicated to Solo style competition on a street legal car.These are amazing if you own an older VW like I do, '91 Mark2 Jetta GLI and a '81 Mark1 Scirocco.They fit on your stock 14" rims and smaller rubber is getting harder and harder to find. I have tried high perf tires from other brands but these successfully compete against higher brands for a lower price. Of course there is sacrifice and these tires have two failings compared to more expensive rubber:

1. they are noisier than many other brands, but in my case this isn't an issue as I use cheap Hankooks for daily driving
2. the tread life is much much shorter than what a road tire should be. This is easier to accept due to the cost savings but is still a major shortcoming.

As a comparison my mid range Hankook Ventus' feel like a thin layer of sand is on the road after I've spent a day on the track hot lapping my T1R's

195/60R15 Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position Tires (Quantity: 1) Review

I purchased a set of Bridgestone Potenza Pole Position tires and had them installed on my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oz Rally Edition. I purchased them because they seemed like a good high performance tire. They definitely look nice but I have never been thrilled with their performance. I have no problem with their performance on dry road but they perform badly on wet roads. Especially when there is a little bit of standing water on the road. I found myself hydroplaning quite often and I have never had that problem with any other tires that I have ever owned. I wouldn't suggest these tires for this reason. I just recently replaced them after about 45k miles, which is about average for me.

MICHELIN X11 TRIAL COMPETITION 4.00R18 TT RR TIRE 81092 81092 Review

I run this tire on my KTM520 with a extra heavy duty tube and found two rims locks mandatory due to the incredible traction and the low pressure I run. (7-10psi)

I'm getting triple the mileage vs a standard knobby with no discernible loss of traction throughout the tires life as with a worn knobby.

Rocks, roots, mud, snow, ice, are no problem for this tire, and it tracks much straighter and smoother through loose terrain. It's only weak point can sometimes be deep, bottomless pea gravel but it still makes it through.

Saves your energy for the tough spots and doesn't tear up the terrain.

195/60R15 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S Tires Review

I purchased a set of Michelin Pilot Exalto tires about a month ago and had them installed on my 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer Oz Rally Edition. These tires deliver very good overall performance without sacrificing noise level output. Many of the true high performance tires will be louder than average due to the tire tread pattern but that isn't a problem with these tires. These tires work well in heavy rain especially. My last set of tires would hydroplane often when I would hit a small amount of standing water but I have yet to encounter this problem with these tires. I was able to cruise down the freeway full speed ahead during a downpour and I had no problem at all.

Be wary of purchasing this trailer from Northern Tool & Equip.They have no part inventory and the packaging on these trailers is extremely poor.Mine arrived and I put together in about 4 hours only to find out I was missing the castle nut that held the wheel on the axle.Not much use without a 2nd wheel.I contacted their Customer service and was told I'd have to wait 3-4 months to get the missing nut since they had to order from China.They cannot open boxes and just ship me the nut due to some contract issue.I talked with 3 different customer "service" reps and got the same run around.

Since I needed the trailer this spring/summer I searched the net and found RedTrailers.com sold an almost identical trailer and SURPRISE has a parts inventory.I ended up ordering an entire axle assemply (first ordered the nut from them, but their axles are slightly larger and it didn't fit on the Northern trailer axle.)

Save yourself some headache and lost time, because you will end up with missing parts and you may waste half a year getting what you paid for.

Had these Altimax's for 7 weeks.My car is a Mitubishi Galant 4-cylinder.I'm a professional driver, and most of my roads are twisty, mountainous two-lane tarmac, so these roads and I are very hard on tires.4,600 miles and the fronts were done, with even wear on both.The rears are at 60%.These tires stick like glue on dry surfaces and inspire confidence in every turn.I came away very impressed with their wet weather and light snow handling too.

Summary:If you're extremely hard on tires, dont expect anywhere near the 55k miles they promise.Most drivers are much more docile than I and should see significantly better wear characteristics.Also, General honored their warranty and credited me with most of the cost of the two front tires due to fast wear.
