Yamaha Rhino Tire Carrier (Silver Powder-Coat) Review

This is likely the highest quality aftermarket product that I've installed on my Rhino.It is very well designed, uses quality components, and the welding and powder-coating are quite impressive.The part that screws on to hold the wheel is machined out of a single large aluminum billet and looks like something you'd find on a Land Rover, not a Rhino.

I researched all kinds of alternative tire mounts for the Rhino, and all have advantages and disadvantages.Most rear ones block the bed from dumping until you remove both the mount and the tire/wheel combo.The one that swings aside to let the bed dump is QUITE expensive.The other front mounts block the view much more than this one.Mounting in the bed takes up already-limited cargo room, and cage mounting blocks the rear view.

This is a very functional mount, and it only takes an additional minute or so to remove the large thumbscrews and open the hood. While it does block the view a little bit, it is not as intrusive as you might expect, and you quickly become accustomed to it...
