TOURMASTER/CORTECH DSX MOTORCYCLE PANTS BLACK 32" X 34" Review

The Tourmaster/Cortech DSX denim motorcycle pants are what I was looking for to ride in the warmer weather. They are comfortable while riding since they seem to be more breathable than the padded motorcycle pants that I usually wear. Denim, though, can be really oppressive in the hot humid weather when you finally get to your destination.
I find that the plastic knee protectors (which are removable) tend to bother me when walking around because the top of the protector hits the bottom of my knee cap unless I pull the pants way up around the top of my waist. In that case I take the protectors out.

HJC FS-10 FS10 ANTHRACITE MOTORCYCLE Full-Face-Helmet Review

My previous helmet was a low buck, no frills HJC.When the inside (not removeable) started turning green, I figured it was time to splurge and get a helmet with not only a removable liner, but also some cool features.Since I wear sunglasses under an untinted screen, I though this integrated visor thing would be awesome.Now, like a dummy, I bought this helmet online (not from Amazon) without ever trying one on.I have three big complaints.One; my previous helmet was a XXL so I bought this in XXL but it's way too small.Two; the vent controls are exceptionally difficult to manipulate with gloves while riding.Three; the tinted visor, the whole reason I bought the helmet, doesn't drop down nearly far enough, not even close.Reflected light, or even direct sunlight if it's low on the horizon, gets directly into my eyes.If you try one of these on in a store and find you don't have the same problems I did, then ignore my review.But if you plan on ordering one without trying it on, be forewarned.

Cortech Women's LRX Series 2 Jacket - Medium/Black Review

I think I bought the jacket more for the color than anything. When I got it there were a few things I was disappointed on.

PROs:
good quality jacket
color
good for cooler summer night driving

CONs:
too short in the torso
not an extremely warm jacket even with the line
reflective strips were a little disappointing
meant more for rocket bike style riding with bent arms and vents all in the back none in the front besides shoulders, short torso etc.

HJC CL33 SILVER MED Review

This is the first helmet I have ever purchased. I went with this one because I prefer the half-open face design with a face shield. It fit very snuggly during the first couple weeks. After about a month, I do notice that the fitting seems to have gotten a lot better. The only thing I didn't like with this helmet is the amount of wind noise when riding with the face shield up. But then again, this is my first helmet so I'm not sure if that's typical of all half-open face helmets. There is a rubber lining around the ridge of the helmet face. I'm guessing this rubber lining is what minimizes the wind noise when the face shield is down. However, I don't know if the wind noise would continue to increase as the rubber lining gets old. There are four vents, located on the ears and forehead areas, which open and close. However, I don't know what purpose they serve as I didn't notice any difference with them opened or closed. Other than that, I'm very happy with this helmet.

Tour Master Intake Air 2 Jacket - One size fits most/Smoke Review

I was in the market for a good motorcycle jack for a while. And after a lot of research, I decided I wanted the tourmaster intake air series 2. I went to the local riding store and bought a pair of gloves and while inside, tried on the jacket. I normaly wear a large. So I picked up the large, put it on. It fit like a glove. I said, okay..thats the one. Large it is. So I went home, logged into amazon.com and bought the jacket in size large. SO once I got the jacket I put in on and it once again fit like a glove. Until.... I removed the inner layers. This jacket come with three layers. An outside mesh coat, and water/wind resistant insert, and a insulated jacket insert. But this is why I wanted this jacket. I thought it would be a great three season coat. So once the two internal layers were removed the jacket seems a bit loose. The padding on the arms kinda flops and just doesn't feel "tight". Put the layers back in and its perfect. So in closure, great coat, good quality..but you may want one size smaller then normal. But if you choose the smaller size, you may not be able to fit in the insulated vest. I say this because it takes up the most space being that it's full of insulation. I might buy another tourmaster jacket for summer riding. And keep this one for spring/fall. The jet (not sure) is the same jacket with out the insulated layer.

TOURMASTER/CORTECH TRANSITION 2 MOTORCYCLE JACKET WOMEN HIGH VISIBILITY YELLOW Review

I bought this in early Feb 2010 as winter just seemed to be hanging on and I wanted to ride in Middle Tennessee.I went out for a ride the day after I got this at 30degree (F) clear skies and the only thing that was cold on me was my legs.

Jacket is bullet proof and tight.Tons of pockets - so much you might lose stuff.The fit and finish appears excellent on the exterior as well as the inner liner.I got the flourescent green/yellow color and my buddy I ride with told me this sticks out more than the bike, headlights, or taillights ever would.He says there's no mistaking when I'm around.

Fit: I purchased size large.
I'm 5'8" tall, 34' waist, 44 chest, 17" sleeve, 190lbs.I had to sinch in the side straps because it was too loose when I first got it.The sleeves are a tad long by about an inch, but I'll live with that.I'd heard Fieldsheer was sized small, but I'd say they are dead-on with this one.I have some room to grow as I age, and this will be perfect size for years to come.

Warmth:As mentioned before, this jacket is tight as in watertight.Lots of straps to tighten the load, zippers all function properly, and there is no intrusion of cold air or wind into the jacket with the zippers closed.
NOTE:I cannot wear this inside because I start to sweat.So I've only been able to sling it on as I head out the door - there's no standing around where there is heat around.

I love the pocket on the sleeve for the key.Added feature I didn't know about was a hook on a string so nothing falls out of the pocket.You can easily clip your key to this.Pocket is big enough to hold a small cell phone.

I've not yet riden in warmer weather, but will update this post when I get more riding time in.

TOURMASTER/CORTECH HRX 2 MOTORCYCLE PANTS BLACK Review

I got a pair of these in February, and wore them the following weekend on a 200-mile day ride in Georgia and SC.It was a chilly day, 38 - 48 degrees, and I was comfortable with the inner liner installed, even though my motorcycle has no fairings or windshield.These pants go on easily, although my Sidi boots have to go on the outsides of the legs.I found that a pair of suspenders helps keep the waist from sliding down; this also keeps the knee armor in its proper place.Definitely a big improvement over a pair of jeans, especially if you ever have to put their crash protection to the test.

Shoei RJ Air Platinum R Open-face Helmet - 3X-Large/Matte Black Review

I have been riding quite a few years and have owned quite a few different helmets over that time.I am still looking for that perfect helmet, but will likely never find it.This one is close.It meets all of my (possibly unrealistic) requirements except one.

I have only had this helmet for about two weeks, but during that time I have logged about 1200 miles, all with this helmet on my head.

It is the most comfortable helmet I have ever worn, and very lightweight.Even at interstate speeds it contributes very little to fatigue from wind resistance compared to other helmets I have owned.

It is the first helmet I have ever owned where I could actually FEEL air moving through the helmet over my head.With the vents open front and rear it did a better job keeping my head cool than any other helmet I have owned.Keep in mind this is relative to wearing anything that encloses your head in 90 degree direct sunlight.It got warm... but I did not soak the interior of the helmet or have a waterfall to dodge when I took it off after several hours on the road.

There is PLENTY of room inside for your intercom gear AND your ears and I LOVE the channel down the temples to allow you to get your sunglasses on and off easily.

This helmet was obviously designed by people who ride more than across town or bar to bar.

My only complaint?The outer shell on my XL is VERY large!It is a nice looking helmet, but HUGE!For those of you who remember the old Flintstones cartoons... I feel like the Great Gazoo without the antenna.

So, how in the world would you be able to make a helmet that is comfortable, has plenty of room for air flow, sunglasses, audio gear, and your ears and still keep the shell only a little bigger than your head?Magic goober dust maybe?

Summary - if you want an open face helmet and are more concerned with comfort and function than your image or a fashion statement, this is the best I have ever tried.It ain't ugly... it's just BIG!

I am going to go ahead and replace my second helmet with one of these in a Large.Hopefully we won't be mistaken for a couple of hot air balloons traveling too close to the ground.

CORTECH SCARAB WINTER GLOVE FLAT BLACK XXLARGE Review

I bought these for one reason, to keep my hands warm on my commute.They seem well made, but my hands sting after the first mile in 30 degree weather, I wish I'd have held off on the purchase.I'm not sure if it's the fit or the fallacy of Thinsulate (I've never had any luck with Thinsulate) but I wouldn't purchase them again unless I wanted some spring/autumn gloves.The reason I'll give them a few stars is that I believe they would offer abrasion protection and being all leather provides some value.But don't buy them to keep you warm.

HJC IS-33 WINE MOTORCYCLE Open-Face-Helmet Review

I bought this helmet from an on line company about a month ago. The fit and finish are great. The color is beautiful. The helmet fits great and wears comfortably. There is only one major problem. It shakes so bad in the wind that you can't focus at speeds above 50 MPH, especially if there is a little cross wind added in. The aerodynamics are horrible. I ride a 2009 HD Ultra Classic with the stock windshield. If I open the fairing vents to push air on me (a requirement in the Texas summer) the helmet shakes my head so bad that you can't focus in any direction. I was very dissappointed with this because otherwise I really like the helmet. But this one issue makes me not want to wear it at all. If I flip the shield down on the hightway, every once in a while the wind will blow it up. The flip down "pilot" sun visor works well and does a good job helping when riding in to the sunset. I have not tried the helmet on a bike without a windshield to see how it does in the open wind, but intend to do so. My daughter has a sporster so I'll try it out soon and let you know how that works out. According to the literature it is supposed to be "wind tunnel tested" but I just don't see how, maybe they tested it on a crash test dummy!

Wheel Hub Cleaning Tool Review

It does the work but the velcro mount eventually gives up and I have only used regular battery powered driver. Not sure how it would work on an impact driver. Used all the pads for my car but I think I will go with it again for my next brake job unless I find a better product. This together with oil stone(sharpening stone) and metal mini brushes did the trick but I will research for something more heavy duty.

Cortech Adrenaline Gloves - Large/Blue/Black Review

The glove is very comfortable and all leather which is uncommon for the price point.There is extra reinforcement in just about any conceivable place it would be needed and is pitted and vented for warmer weather.These run small so you'll probably want to go up a size when ordering (they're like Rev'its in that regard).The interior is comfortable too with a soft fleece lining and the double velcro tab closure and 360 degree wrist strap allow you to cinch the glove down securely.

Bought this to complement my skull cap.Needed something to protect me from the stuff flying on the road on my way to work.Anyway...
The helmet feels good, feels nicely made.The vents open easily and allow some flow through the helmet.The face shield is great optically.I only notice a slight distortion when looking out the sides.I also have a big nose and chin, which have hit other shields, but not this one.Only con I have is that the shield doesn't always feel like its down all the way and I keep trying to push it further than it wants to go.Other than that, I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a helmet to protect their face without having to get a full helmet.

This is a great little tank where space is limited to mount the tank and air compressor for your air horn.Its only shortcoming is the lack of a moisture bleed [...].I had to replace my first tank because of a HUGE amount of rust and water that builds up in the tank (built-up condensation due to temperature extremes).Now I manually bleed the tank every month or so.

compact, very strong magnets in motor, can be felt outside case with steel bar, compressor seems like it is well made, even being an offshore import. i've had these two pumps in service for a month and they sound good and pumps well, will update in another 6 months if still no problem.
looks like this compressor could be mounted out in the elements as long as the intake port was piped to a clean location, i typically pipe these to the truck cab so it takes in cleaner and already partially dehumidized ( air conditioned) air.

TOURMASTER/CORTECH INTAKE AIR 2 MOTORCYCLE JACKET BLACK/BLACK Review

This is my first motorcycle jacket. It replaces a runner's wind-breaker for my riding apparel. It offers greater protection from the wind and is more comfortable than a normal jacket when at speed. The removable liners are nice but affect the fitting. I recommend buying one size smaller than needed since most riding is done without the insulated liner.

The jacket is comfortable to wear, the pre-bent arms keep full length when reaching for handle bars keeping wind off of your wrists. The back flap also helps keep wind and cold away from lower regions.

The major complaint is that the wrist areas are tight especially when any of the liners are in place.

Overall I like it and would recommend it, but would advise finding a place to try it on first.

Orange Electronic 402P409S00 Retro Kit Spare Sensor Review

The replacement sensor kit installed fine (by Firestone - about $13) and is working fine.My only complaints are that I had to replace a sensor less than two years old and the price of the replacement sensor.$39.70 seems like a lot when you can buy four sensors and a dash unit for $139.I now have three kits installed, so I guess losing a single sensor early out of 12 is not too bad.

I really do like being able to see my tire pressures and temperatures at a glance, so I do recommend the kit.

This programmer does ok except for after a day or two the vehicle's computer regulates the power output anyways. I then changed my spark pugs and wires but that was a big mistake not using Motorcraft parts as the performance tuning didn't agree with it and I had a little bit of bucking and power loss and the engine light come on, so I reset it to factory where it runs fine, until I buy more plugs and wires that will agree with it. *Note the instructions do say that it is tuned for a stock vehicle and that its made for a vehicle that has extra performance parts-they are not kidding.

Superchips 2808 Flashpaq 2007.5 GM Duramax 6.6L LMM Review

This was a very good product. I did not buy it from amazon, but this programmer can do wonders to a truck. Torque and Power are increased significantly, and it makes our 07 silverado hd 2500hd run in the low 14s on a quarter mile. With the stock limiter, it tops out at around 98-100 before the end mark. This chip brings up the limiter beyond 120mph.

It adds about 77hp and around 117 ft lbs of torque. It had an easy install and updating it is a snap online. Still waiting for the new data aquisition update for it. More info can be found on the flashpaq website at [...] Would definitely recommend this product. Just look into other brands such as hypertech, hear they got one with about 91 hp and 164 ft lbs of torque.

This will make you burn rubber when you want to, save diesel when you want to, beat a mustang GT on a quarter mile if you want to, and it will even let you spin the tires in 4 wheel drive, if you want to put that much strain on your truck. Kinda gets away from you when all four wheels spin and you cant really control which way it goes!

DUNLOP KT355A 20X10R9 REAR 272200409 Review

I'm really happy to have chosen these tires for my Yamaha Raptor 250 ATV. Their wide tread and hard rubber have meant that the tread has worn down much slower than my previous tires. Viair 450C 12 Volt IG Series Air Compressor Kit (CE) Review

This is my second Viair 12 volt pump I have purchased. The first was a smaller capacity pump and it is still running very well. These pumps are very well built. They are quiet when compared to other pumps with the same capacity. I am using this pump to charge a ten gallon compressed air tank for demonstrations of an aerosol device at medical conventions. It is small, quiet, and will operate off an AC to DC 12 volt converter that puts out about 20 amps. This beats paying the $650.00 three day charge the exhibit halls hit you up with for a compressed hose at your booth!

My only other wishes are that it had a 12 volt fuse and an off and on switch. Neither of these things were a big deal for me to add.

I highly recommend this pump. It is good to see high quality workmanship in this day and age.

Air Compressor Review

This is a small unit so does take some time to inflate low pressure tires. It takes about 2-3 minutes to put 10 psi in a tire. But it works and isn't expensive, so I can't complain.

HJC IS-33 BLACK MOTORCYCLE Open-Face-Helmet Review

This helmet does it all, as far as I am concerned.It is comfortable and terrifically utilitarian.But the thing that makes this helmet superior to all the others is the sun visor system.There is a separate sun visor beneath the face shield that comes down by simply moving a lever on top of the helmet and, in contrast to other similar helmets of which I am aware, the sun visor instantly springs back into the helmet with the push of a button.I can't recount the number of times while riding when I suddenly faced into the sun.All that it took was a quick motion to deploy the sun visor and eliminate the sun glare.When I no longer needed it, I pressed the button on top of the helmet and POOF!, the visor was gone.
The price for the helmet is also great.I have never understood the need to spend hundreds of dollars for a helmet when the same degree of safety is available for much less.
I am one of those people who is never satisfied.I am always searching for something better.In this case, however, I am not looking for another helmet.This helmet works great for me!

Super Soft Bristle Versa-angle Car Brush the Gold Class Series Review

The brush is really soft and gives you confidence that it will not damage your finish, if properly used. My grip with this product is that the grey rubber molding on the wand's handle and around the brush head itself gets sticky to the touch after a few uses. It makes handling the brush very annoying, either with the wand or held by the brush head itself. I think this rates the product down from "it's OK" to "I don't like it". Handling leaves a sticky residue, much like the back of an old oily sticker.

I bought this for my 2006 F250 6.0L Diesel. I have it on the max setting. I adjusted my speedometer to match my tire size. I removed the speed limiter. The increase in power is amazing! it shifts very nice too. On the max setting my mpg went down because I love to give it the pedal. But on the lower setting, it actually increases power and mpg. Great product.
